The role: The Nido Lead Teacher serves our youngest children with the care and respect of the AMI Assistants to Infancy approach, preparing a calm, beautiful environment that supports movement, language, independence, and secure attachment.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and maintain a Nido environment that supports freedom of movement, order, and growing independence.
Observe each child closely and respond to their needs in care, language, and practical life.
Partner with families through transitions, daily communication, and conferences.
Lead and mentor classroom assistants, keeping Florida DCF ratios and health and safety practices consistent.
Work with Nest and Children's House colleagues to support continuity as children move up.

What we're looking for
A genuine love for children and a positive, team-oriented spirit
Bachelor's degree; high school diploma or equivalent required
Completed or in the process of completing AMI Assistants to Infancy (0–3) training
CPR/First Aid and the 45-hour Florida DCF training (or willingness to complete)
At least 1 year of childcare experience
English required; Spanish a plus
