School Sponsorship

There are a number of schools throughout the United States that are willing to sponsor Montessori teacher training in exchange for a commitment to teach at that school. If you are already working at a Montessori school, consider approaching your school about sponsorship. If you are looking to become a Montessori teacher, take a look at both the TMI Jobs Board and AMI’s Updated School Sponsorship List to find current opportunities to be sponsored.

The Judi Orion Living Legacy Scholarship

The Judi Orion Living Legacy Scholarship is intended to expand access to the 0–3 Assistants to Infancy training at The Montessori Institute, supporting students who may face financial or systemic barriers to participation.

Recipients receive a $750 living stipend to help offset costs associated with the required in-person summer training, including childcare, lost wages, and living expenses.

This scholarship is open to all applicants, including those who are sponsored. To be considered, students must have applied to the 0–3 Assistants to Infancy training. Recipients must be accepted into the program and remain in good academic standing to receive funds.

The application will be sent out in January, prior to your summer in Denver.

Montessori Training Scholarships

The AMI Montessori Community supports two national training scholarships: The Margaret Elizabeth Stephenson Fund (MES) and the Black Montessori Education Fund (BMEF).

Colorado Women's Education Foundation (CWEF)

The Colorado Women’s Education Foundation (CWEF) is a 501(c)(3) organization that awards scholarships to women of nontraditional age.

Applicants are evaluated based on financial need, academic achievement, leadership, career goals, and community involvement.

Eligibility:

  • Identify as a woman and be 25+ by April 30

  • Colorado resident for at least 12 months prior to April 30, 2025, and residing in Colorado during your program

  • Enrolled in (or planning to attend) an accredited college, university, or vocational program

  • Able to provide a transcript showing cumulative GPA
