Admission Criteria

TMI actively seeks students of diverse backgrounds and interests.

Successful candidates demonstrate the following qualifications for program participation in TMI’s teacher training programs.

  • Academic skills for success in a comprehensive program of study 

  • Clear oral and written communication 

  • Organization, time management, and attention to detail 

  • Ability to collaborate within a community 

  • Commitment to Montessori education and human development

  • Basic technological proficiency (personal computer use, Google Shared Drives, Google Calendar, and Zoom)

A non-refundable application fee is required at the time of submission:

  • $100 for applications submitted before October 1

  • $150 for applications submitted on or after October 1

Once your completed application is received, we will contact you to schedule a personal interview.

As you begin your application, please be prepared to submit the following:

  • A statement of intent

  • A current résumé

  • Two professional or academic references

  • Official transcripts
