Elementary Lead Teacher (AMI Trained, 6–12)

Salary: $45,000–$65,000 per year (based on experience) · Reports to: Head of School

The role: The Elementary Lead Teacher inspires curiosity and critical thinking in children ages 6–12, using AMI Montessori's Cosmic Curriculum to help them see themselves as part of a larger whole.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain a classroom that encourages exploration, research, and collaboration.

  • Present the Montessori Great Lessons and related follow-up work.

  • Guide students in developing responsibility for their learning and community.

  • Communicate regularly with parents, sharing progress and insights.

  • Work closely with colleagues to support cross-level continuity of education.

Compensation & benefits: same as above.
